Boat Location
The Northwest 14 is located in Stall 2601 in the northeast side of the compound, east of the main JSC building. It is located next to the Vanguard 15s.
Special Instructions
The Northwest 14 is a family daysailer suitable for about four people comfortably. It is stored on its own Companionway dolly. A JSC two-wheel dolly with correct trailer ball is used to launch and retrieve the NW14 (our boat dolly no longer includes a front wheel). Depending on the tide, it may be necessary to use the shore winch. If you are unfamiliar with using the shore winch, please see a JSC staff member to assist and instruct you.
The centreboard fits snugly but may stick if sand gets caught in the centreboard trunk (case). Please ensure that the centreboard is retracted when entering or leaving the water.
When returning from sailing, please ensure that all equipment and the hulls are thoroughly rinsed free of saltwater and sand before storing. The sails should be dry and folded before being placed into the bag and stored in the club room. The rudder/tiller is stored in the rack on the south wall of the club room.
